Two of GAR’s business units received ISPO certifications
GAR continues its sustainability journey with two new ISPO Certifications for their business units, namely PT Sinar Kencana Inti Perkasa and PT Bumi Sawit Permai. With these latest certifications, GAR closes out 2016 with a total of 30 mills and palm oil estates supplying fresh fruit bunches to the mills that have now been ISPO certified. This represents the highest number of ISPO certifications being awarded in Indonesia for an integrated palm oil company with 182,296 hectares are now certified to ISPO as of December 2016. This is an important milestone on GAR’s overall sustainability journey as it provides assurances to its customers and stakeholders in regards to legality and compliance of its mills, estates, and entire supply chain. It also aids in the achievement of other internationally recognised sustainability standards like RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) and ISCC (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification).
