Peat Ecosystem Rehabilitation Booklet

High Carbon Stock Forest Study Report

With over 173,000 employees, Golden Agri-Resources (GAR), has more than 20 commitments on labour practices in the GAR Social and Environmental Policy (GSEP). These are aligned with Indonesian labour regulations and the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.

Briefing paper: ILUC, palm oil and biofuels

This paper calls for the RED II delegated act setting out the criteria for certification of Low Indirect Land-Use Change (ILUC) -risk biofuels to take scientific, economic, social, and environmental realities into account. The increasing efforts to make sustainable palm oil production low ILUC-risk, as exemplified by the actions of the Indonesian Government and companies such as GAR, should be reflected in the Commission’s methodology and report on the status of global production expansion of relevant food and feed crops.

Golden Agri-Resources Action Plan in response to findings of the Rainforest Alliance Evaluation of GAR Social and Environmental Policy Implementation 2017

Golden Agri-Resources (GAR) commissioned the Rainforest Alliance, a leading international not-for-profit organisation with a track record in certification, verification and bespoke sustainability evaluations to review the implementation of GAR’s Social and Environmental Policy in 2017, known as the GSEP. The Rainforest Alliance report can be found here.This Action Plan sets out how GAR plans to address those findings where gaps in compliance were identified. While the Action Plan is specific to the three concessions evaluated by Rainforest Alliance learnings from this process will be applied across GAR’s operations and contribute to improvements in our outreach programmes to suppliers to support them in meeting the GSEP.

Swedish Business Delegation to Indonesia, 22-24 May 2017

Swedish monarchs King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia led a Swedish Business Delegation to Indonesia from 22 – 24 May 2017, to launch the Indonesia-Sweden Executive Forum (ISEF). Jesslyne Widjaja, Executive Director of Golden Agri-Resources, addressed the delegation during the event on 23 May to talk about the existing partnership – Golden Stena Waco, and future collaboration.
